This Monday I'm taking a break from my regular blog content to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As she is laid to rest today after over 70 years of service I feel it is important to take time to pay tribute. Coming from a military family many of my loved ones served the Queen, I'll never forget when my own Dad was awarded his MBE, a memory I shall cherish today as I reflect. My thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family and all those around the world who mourn today. Jo x

Why I love The British Red Cross The British Red Cross holds an important place in my heart after informing my family of my uncles well being and whereabouts during WW2. He was a bomber pilot who was taken down by the Germans and crashed in Belgium, where a local farmer took him in until they were captured and marched days on end towards Poland and eventually ended up being kept at Stalag Luft II.
