A while ago I was approached to create a look using Honey for Noctis Magazine.
I did use real honey instead of a skincare product to create the images shown within the magazine.
On the skin I used
Steamcream
Concealer - Amazing Concealer
Freckles - Liz Earle Pencil in Dark Brown and Golden Bronze
Whilst writing this blog I was thinking about the use of honey in skincare and make-up products. Honey has wonderful nurturing, repair and healing properties to the skin and has been used since Cleopatra claimed to have used it all those centuries ago.
I have listed my top 3 must...
Lartington Hall is like one of those hidden gems in the beautiful area of Barnard Castle. You drive down a long dramatic driveway surrounded by trees and wow you arrive at the entrance with breathtaking amount of marble flooring and floor to ceiling mirrors. You curve round the corner of the hallway and are welcomed by subtle colours of French duck egg blue and the most exquisite furniture.
I have been sitting here trying to decide how to describe this wedding, the only words I can think of is “celebrity wedding oozing with style “
Kyleigh, the bride, was just breathtakingly beautiful...
About twice a year I get to work for Katy of What Katy Did Next. I always get excited when she sends me a message to ask if I am available for a photo shoot for her latest collections.
Katy has an amazing talent of creating some fabulous creations in headpieces as well as necklaces (which I have many in leather pieces) to the full length church veils
The latest collection “The New Botanical” is a mixture of using textures of rose gold and bronze.
To compliment her beautiful collection I wanted to create a look that would suit both models on a similar aspect. Some of the looks I used...
It is always wonderful when I get asked to be make-up artist for magazine editorials and the latest issue of La Di Da Magazine I got to work with LA model Francoise Boufhal who was back in the UK for a short while. Francoise has such a busy schedule working in LA in USA. Francoise was so easy to work with during the photoshoot with her dog, Spider who was just adorable.
You must get your hands on a copy of the magazine from various stockists or online here

Many months ago I was asked by Middleton Lodge to write guest blogs for them. What a proud moment for me as this is one of my all time favourite venue and place to visit for weddings. I visit Middleton Lodge at least a couple of times a month, afternoon tea, Sunday lunches and for a facial's with Selena using REN skincare. I have been visiting Middleton Lodge for over 6 years now and truly call it my "second home".
The latest guest blog written for Middleton Lodge was to describe how you can be influenced by catwalk make-up and create the look for your Wedding Day. The image...
After having a weeks holiday on a Tibetan yoga and meditation retreat in the desert in Morocco I had a lovely surprise in my letterbox.
The new colours of watercolour blushers by Daniel Sandler in two scrumptious shades called Golden Glow and Rose Glow. As a make-up artist I have used the watercolour blushers in my kit in the past but was excited to see the bronze shades.
Immediately I had to try them straight away! As I had a slight tan already from my holiday I had opted to try the Golden Glow which is a warm bronze shade. The texture of these watercolour blushers are just...
It's times in your life that something life changing happens and you get to work alongside some uber talented people. My time came when I had the chance to work with Val Garland and her team during London and Milan.
Every year I work at London Fashion Week and love every single moment of it even through the stressful times. This year I got such a huge excitement and buzz from the whole aspect of achieving the look designed by Val Garland. To see the overall look from the make-up and hair to the final collection with the models walking that walk down the catwalk.
