After spending a week catching my breath and getting back up to speed with my work back here in the UK I wanted to take time to post a final peak into my life during show season. As always with its been a busy yet rewarding few weeks, I'm always grateful for the opportunity to work on teams with talented creatives refining my skills and creating my signature perfected skin looks for the designers.
Here are some pictures from behind the scenes in London, Milan and Paris which capture a day in the life of Jo on catwalk shows. From a rare day off in sunny Paris to garment close ups and snaps of products...

Last week I got the chance to have a play with a brand I've never used before, Diego Dalla Palma, so I've decided to write a short review of I felt about each piece too share with you. I was super excited to dive into the products from this company as I know they are reputed for being the intersection between scientific expertise and modern Italian glamour. This along with being a brand that is certified free from animal testing I thought what could there possibly be not to love. Overall whilst not everything was to my liking, a lot of it was and I'm excited to use the products more in the future!

Feeling inspired this week by a quote I wanted to share with you all by Edgar Allan Poe, from his poem 'A Dream Within A Dream':
"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream"
I felt this was a fitting thought to ponder on whilst I show you these pensive shots of some dreamy make-up. These shots were taken in Staithes, North Yorkshire and the make-up I have created was influenced by a 1960's vibe. I used one of my all time favourite products in my kit which is the Ariane Poole Ultimate Face Tint to really add to the model's already gorgeous complexion to give it a glowing flawless...
2019 has started and we are already now in the 3rd week of January already, I've been busy getting stuck into a new year of exciting and creative work. My latest and first piece I wanted to share with you this year is my work on some looks with award winning hairdresser Marcus King of King and I.
To create the looks for these images I wanted to keep the focus on a very natural appearance as it was all about hair that Marcus has created for this photoshoot. One of the images for example I wanted to really showcase the models natural freckles and have caught some behind the scenes showcasing me using...
It's Christmas Eve and 2018 is soon coming to a close so I wanted to share with you a set of gorgeous images from one of my last bits of work this year.
However first I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how grateful I am for the work I have had the opportunity to be part of in the last 12 months. To have graced the pages of beautiful magazines such as Jules B, Belle Bridal, La Di Da and Unveiled. To have participated in workshops talks, demos in the UK sharing and doing work to support the wonderful charity the Teenage Cancer Trust. I have been so lucky to travel working fashion shows...
It's December and we're all thinking about christmas and all things winter. I thought my work for this shoot with Rock N Rose was perfect to share with you especially for this time of year. These beautiful and festive star earrings are truly amazing, I may even have to get these earrings as a christmas gift to myself!
Always such a great company to work with to create very soft and feminine yet powerful images that let their stunning jewellery shine. If you fancy a pair for yourself you can find them here: Adriel Star Hoop Earrings.

Autumn Winter months are upon us again now and our skin will be changing with the seasons with the drop of temperature and heating turned up. I wanted to re-share this blog post from last year of my top tips for combating winter redness on the skin.
Do you find you have the following problems with your skin during the cold months: red, red rosy cheeks, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis or just the common cold with the bright red nose?
Do you struggle to find a foundation and concealer that will cover your redness without looking too heavy or dry on the skin?
