I recently received a review from a very happy customer who was one of the first to buy brushes from my new range and it was exactly what I was hoping people would feel when I started Untitled No 1 with these brushes.
I loved what Harriet had to say about her Detailed Brush and thought it was the perfect way for people to get to know this brush so I’m going to share it with you here. For all the technical aspects she may mention the self care element is my favourite, because at the end of the day that’s what is so important to me too!
“After receiving my Detailed Brush from Untitled No 1 I couldn’t wait to have an event so I’d have an excuse to use it. As a dog walker I’m not an every day make-up wearer, it’d just get licked off! So when I do put make-up on to go out at the weekends I love to take the time to really indulge in the ritual of getting glam, it’s like a form of self care to me. That’s why I like to buy special products for myself because it’s what my face deserves after being battered by the elements all week long. So as soon as I saw Jo was launching her brushes as the debut range for her new brand Untitled No 1, I knew I needed one to add to my kit for those special moments I like to spend feeling good in my skin!
I’d spoken to Jo about which brush was best to try first, after having had a make-up lesson with her previously and picking up the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on her recommendation (It’s amazing too by the way) she knew the Detailed Brush was right for me. The first thing I’d noticed when picking up my brush was how well weighted it had felt in my hand, the balance felt great to help me focus on gently dabbing away to get that perfect seamless blend of my concealer over old acne scars and under my eyes. Whilst the vegan bristles are firm and tightly packed they still felt super soft and gentle on my skin which I really appreciated as my face is so sensitive.
It was also great that I felt the brush didn’t soak up half of my product like some do, there are times in my life I’ve brought much cheaper brushes that have ended up more expensive in the long run because of how much product they absorb and it going to waste. These days I’d much rather spend a bit more on a brush that does a better job and doesn’t steal half my make-up!
I’ve never really been a blusher kind of person, but I think that’s because I’ve never had the right tools or know how. After my 1-to-1 lesson with Jo and using the Detailed Brush it’s got me considering trying out a nice liquid blush to add to my weekend ritual! I’m excited for it to continue to be part of my self care kit.”
