Glowing Editorial Bridal Makeup Celebrating 25 years with Belle Bridal Magazine

Having worked with Belle Bridal for many years now, it was so wonderful to be part of this celebration with them as they release Issue 26, a 250+ page special commemorating 25 years of serving up epic wedding inspiration. Featuring their biggest ever bridal beauty edit, these editorial shoots are arguably some of their most beautiful to date.

The brief for this shoot was an absolute dream for me, ticking all the boxes what I love to do most. Glowing editorial skin, with those three words I immediately pictured the look and what I’d need from my kit to bring the magic to life. The main emphasis was to acheive this glow without the face being left too powdery, we wanted the model to radiate with an almost glass like quality to the perfected skin. That meant the prep had to be perfect before I even considered makeup, taking the time to create a mini massage for her face using the Skin Food Light moisturiser to really awaken the skin and bring its brightness to life.

To create the skinbase it’s all about the perfect colour correction to be able to make sure the focus is drawn to those highlighted high points of the facial features. Using Ariane Poole’s Trio Concealer allows me to custom blend the perfect corrective shades to make sure there’s no distractions from the glow, not to mention it also then blends perfectly out in to their Ultimate Face Tint too for added light coverage with a dewy finish that suited this shoot.

Bringing depth and colour to the face is so important to create balance amongst all the light. Using Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream Gel and the SUQQU Shimmer Liquid Blush because of their seamless cream and liquid based formulas that would really bring contrast to make the glow really pop.

A hint of Bodyography’s Glitter Pigment around the eyes took the irredesence of this look to a whole new level that was only right to pair with a simple lip, lined with the Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Definer and given a glossy finish by with some Weleda Skin Food Balm.
