Soak up the spring sunshine as we take a step back into my favourite venue, Yorkshire’s stunning Middleton Lodge. This time I’m back on the pristine grounds to create some equally amazing wedding make-up for the beautiful soul Ashley.
For her bridal look Ashley wanted to create a real soft and glowy glam that echoed the ethereal surroundings. To get a perfected skin base for her radiant wedding day style I always like to start with skin care. Lucky for me Ashley had made my job easy, on the run up to her wedding she’d been attending Durham’s fantastic The Beauty Therapy Clinic. These facial treatments with her lovely clinician Emma really set the stage for a gorgeous final bridal look that looked airbrushed in real life.
Preparing your skin prior to the wedding and generally looking your face well can be the key ingredient that elevates make-up to that luxurious level. It’s why I spend so much time massaging in skin care products with clients to even thinking about any other product, but with Ashley all we needed was the moisturiser by My Skin Feels to kick start our morning.
As a real lover of colour on the cheek we created a delicate rosy tint using a dual approach with Refy’s Cream Blush in Malayaand the NARS Powder Blush in Behavefor the ultimate dusty peach pink. We added a bit more to the warmth with a MAC combo on the eyelids with the Paint Pot in Groundwork creating soft depth and the Eye Kohl in Teddylightly on the edge to bring some shimmery dimension.
