As the nation prepared for lockdown number 3 back at the end of 2020, I was attending my last wedding of the year. With all the cancellations, uncertainty and moving of dates this lovely couple luckily squeezed in this gorgeous micro wedding to tie the knot just in time before weddings were taken out of the equation again for a number of months thanks to the pandemic.
It was the morning of the 4th of November 2020 and the sun was shining as if it were a good omen of the day to come whilst I met with bride to be Helen. We sat and chatted about the excitements of the day ahead whilst creating a very delicate make-up look for her. The style was a hint of black eyeliner with a little flick for added drama to the eyes using the Blacktrack Eyeliner by MAC for that excellent definition and hold.
For the rest of the face I wanted to approach it in an ethereal way with gently blushed cheeks by none other than SUQQU of course for its incredible pigment and blending power layered on top of perfected skin base using Shiseido & Ariane Poole. The finishing touch was bee-stung style of lipstick for a full pout with Charlotte Tilburys Pillow Talk which is total crowd pleaser for the perfect wedding shade.
As I am applying Helen’s make-up she was exceptionally calm about her day. After all the trouble it has been to be a couple trying to get married in this uncertain time, the pair were just so pleased that they could go ahead with their day and finally have their wedding with a few members of their family allowed to attend. It may have been small in numbers but the day was mighty in love, something I have noticed more and more with intimate weddings. To top everything off her family even suprised her with well wishes of a happy wedding day popping up on Radio 2 as a loving touch to a beautifully intimate day.
